Internationalization in the academic and scientific field is one of the main challenges and objectives of universities, and the mastery of the English language is an important mechanism that contributes to achieving this goal.
In this sense, on May 3rd, the Universidad Peruana Union in its three campus Lima, Juliaca and Tarapoto began the English Program aimed at its teaching staff of all academic units in order to promote and strengthen the mastery of this language. There were 220 teachers who started this learning day.
The English Program will be developed through the Zoom application, with training at the Basic level up to the Intermediate and Advanced levels.
The training will be conducted through the Language Center of this university with master classes, audiovisual classes and the use of an online learning platform.
Classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until August 30th of this year.
As part of this learning cycle, the teacher who manages to demonstrate proficiency at the advanced level will receive a trip outside of Peru to complete his or her English studies.
In this way, Universidad Peruana Unión is concerned with the professional development of its teachers in order to provide a better service to its students, satisfying their educational needs in the learning of foreign languages.
