On August 16, the Universidad Peruana Unión signed a framework agreement of inter-institutional cooperation with Socios en Salud Sucursal Perú in order to establish the basis for mutual cooperation between the two institutions, aimed at the promotion of projects in the academic, research, community outreach, cultural, environmental, scientific and technological fields that contribute to the fulfillment of the mission, vision and principles of both entities.
The ceremony was held in a virtual meeting with the presence of the UPeU administrative staff, including Dr. Gluder Quispe, Rector; Dr. Raúl Acuña, Academic Vice-Rector; and Dr. Luis Felipe Segura, Director of the Professional School of Medicine.
Also present were the representatives of Socios en Salud: Dr. Leonid Lecca, General Director; Jesus Peinado, Program Director; Liberty Wickman, Head of the training unit; and Jorge Tamaki, Deputy Director.
It is important to mention that Socios en Salud is an organization that provides high quality medical care to those who need it most. It also strives to alleviate suffering by providing a comprehensive model of care that includes access to food, transportation, housing and other key components of healing.
