On May 26th, the Systems Engineering Degree Program of the Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU) Campus Lima was recognized by the National System of Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of Educational Quality (Sineace) for its educational quality in the Virtual Ceremony of Accreditation 2021.
Carlos Barreda Tamayo, president, and Dr. Hugo Rosales García, director of Evaluation and Accreditation in Higher and Technical-Productive Education presided over the event.
Also present were the rectors of the 22 recognized institutions, among them Dr. Gluder Quispe, rector of the UPeU.
The Virtual Accreditation Ceremony 2021 was a space for public recognition of the efforts of each of the programs that were accredited for having passed the external evaluation and achieved accreditation for a certain period of time.
«This recognition allows them to renew their commitment to quality and should motivate those who are part of the academic community to be better every day in what they do and in contributing to the improvement of the educational service in our country,» said Dr. Rosales as part of his words of congratulations and recognition for the achievement of the accreditation of the degree programs.
He also stated the need to maintain the level of quality standards, which will be reflected in the university’s research and social responsibility.
In this sense, the Professional School of Systems Engineering of the UPeU was recognized for developing a quality educational service and for having complied with the quality standards, which is a milestone in the process of continuous improvement.
Dr. Gluder Quispe expressed his words of gratitude to the Sineace authorities and to the UPeU Systems Engineering program team, made up of teachers and students, for the achievement. «Our commitment is to continue contributing in the best way possible. Thanks to you, we can do things differently», and also highlighted the mission of this house of studies: Be Integral, Be a Missionary and Be Innovative in order to be a «university with principles for a grand finale».
