On June 17, the Professional School of Accounting held a recognition ceremony for teachers who participated in the virtual academic mobility program between the Universidad Peruana Unión Campus Juliaca and the Universidad Católica Luis Amigó (UCLA), Colombia.
The program was developed through the Zoom platform, where 6 teachers received a letter of congratulations and recognition signed by the administrators of the UPeU and the Faculty of Business Sciences.
Alba Gómez Ramírez, a UCLA professor, taught the course «Environmental Education and Sustainable Development» at the UPeU Campus Juliaca, Olga Vásquez Montoya taught the course «Financial Accounting I», and Ricardo Zuluaga Botero taught the course «Consumption Taxation» to UPeU students.
Likewise, UPeU Campus Juliaca professors gave classes at the Universidad Católica Luis Amigó; among them were Accountant Rulli Incaluque, who taught the course «Organizational Knowledge», Prof. Edgar Quispe Carcausto, who taught the course «Environmental Accounting» and Prof. Victor Yujra, who taught the course «Theory of Accounting Knowledge».
During the recognition program, Dr. Luis Eddie Cotacallapa, director of the UPeU Campus Juliaca, highlighted the importance of academic exchanges between teachers; «In this context of virtuality and globalization it is of utmost importance to exchange knowledge and experiences and even moreso if it is done internationally. These spaces not only benefit the teacher but also the students who receive a different teacher with different perspectives and realities, which enriches the professional development of both».
In this way the Universidad Peruana Unión Campus Juliaca, through the academic mobility program, is strengthening its internationalization.
