Leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA) gathered on the campus of the Peruvian Union University (UPeU) for the inauguration of the new headquarters of the IDEC Student Colporteur Development Institute, which aims to train, coach and encourage the participation of students through the distribution of printed materials bringing hope and well-being for the overall health of people.

Among those present were Pr. Stanley Arco, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South America; Pr. Daniel Montalvan, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in northern Peru; Dr. Gluder Quispe, Peruvian Union University President and Pr. Rodrigo Conrado, director of the new IDEC headquarters.

At the event were also present the administrators of the SDA districts, the directors of the UPeU branches, the manager of the Union Conference and ACES Peru.

As part of this protocol program, the authorities unveiled the official plaque outside the new infrastructure and in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude, the inaugural ribbon cutting took place.

Stanley expressed his words of congratulations and said that IDEC is a dedicated place for more young men and women to bring hope through the work of colporting and thus fulfilling the mission in the community.

Afterwards, the attendees visited the IDEC’s facilities: the administrative offices and an auditorium with a capacity for fifty people. This location will be a place where young people can be trained to achieve the mission and fulfill their professional dreams.
