The Faculty of Human Sciences and Education (FACIHED) of the Peruvian Union University (UPeU) began its academic activities in April 1984 with 5 specialties, which were modified to: Linguistics and Literature, Mathematics and Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
In 1987 the specialty of Pre-school Education started and in 2001 the Professional School of Communication Sciences was created.
This year FACIHED celebrates its 38th anniversary under the title «Passion for the Great Teacher» with a week of academic, social and spiritual activities from September 23 to 30.
The celebrations began with the Talent Night program, where students participated in the Costume Contest, the Staging of Biblical Stories and Songs and Music Contest.
In addition, Webinars were held on topics such as: Communication in Times of FAKE NEWS» and «Challenges and Achievements in Virtual Education towards 2021» which were led by specialists in the area.
In addition, students and professors participated in spiritual activities in a virtual camping event where they shared moments of praise and prayer.
To close this week of celebration, a special program for the «Adventist Education Day» was held by Dr. Raquel Korniejczuk, academic vice rector of Montemorelos University, Mexico, as a special guest. There were also students from Ñaña Union and Miraflores Adventist Schools.
