I remember someone saying once that «investigation» comes from the Latin word «vestigium», which means «footprint» and I like that version. It makes sense, because the investigation process, among other things, requires us to trace some tracks, to pay attention to certain details. No wonder why someone also said that «research is the systematization of curiosity.»

Research has become crucial in our times. Especially for us the Latin American countries. Our development depends on it. In this context, the universities’ research field has become the center of all eyes. From there, the production of new knowledge is expected.

The 10th UPeU Student Scientific Research Conference has just concluded on the three campuses and in this newsletter, you’ll be able to find encouraging information about it. You will also find a note about the Faculty of Theology and how they have been applying what has been researched in health matters. Likewise, we will tell you how Small Groups are also spaces where there is a lot of exploration in order to strengthen the mission. In addition, the news about how the Juliaca and Tarapoto subsidiaries are linked to the environment are also reasons for joy.

With all these activities filled with experimentation, investigation, and inquiring, we really are extremely proud and happy. In the Unionist university community, although we do not shout «Eureka!» (like Archimedes when he made his great discovery), we can express a strong «Amen!» For God’s guidance and blessings.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
