On Saturday, May 8th, the first «Astronomy Saturdays» program of this year was held, entitled: «Raise your eyes high». This program brings together young people, adults and children of the university community, who learn every week about astronomy in a jovial, fun and dynamic way.
This program included the participation of a special guest, Guillermo Spiers, a specialist in astrophotography, who shared his knowledge about this area, as well as its importance. He also shared several photographs of the sky taken by himself and explained the influence of artificial light on astrophotography in Lima.
It is worth mentioning that this program was held virtually, due to the current situation in our country caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Universidad Peruana Unión also announced that more «Astronomical Saturdays» will be held during this semester.
