On Wednesday, April 14th, the Professional School of Architecture culminated the day of the In House 2.0 Design Marathon with the awarding of prizes to the first 3 places.
The objective of the event was to develop in the students the capacity for leadership, companionship, dialogue and professional quality, based on a competitive, responsible and organized exercise.
The Marathon brought together 365 registered students who formed 25 groups. Each group was led by the fifth year students of the Architecture Professional Career, who made urban design proposals intervening in one of the three regions of the country focusing on the themes of public space, natural phenomena, spatial segregation, identity and urban regeneration.
At the end of the day and in the presence of the teachers of the professional school, the first three places were announced: Group 7 (1st place), Group 15 (2nd place), and Group 18 (3rd place) who presented the design proposals called «Yaku», Malecón cuna de hierro and Saturador Urbano cultural, respectively.
The members of the winning groups expressed their words of gratitude, experiences, methods used and the challenges they had as part of teamwork
«We had meetings where we interacted from sketches and whiteboards at the Google Meet and shared different strategies. Everyone put a lot of effort into the project. We are very happy with this achievement,» said Aldana León, member of Group 18.
The next edition of Maratónica In House 3.0 will be in September 2021.
