The Universidad Peruana Union Campus Tarapoto through an agreement signed with MINSA, Rotary Club, and the NGO SHARING SMILES participated in the donation of biometric equipment for the benefit of the population of San Martin.
The donation was made at a protocol meeting attended by Dr. Roussel Dávila Villavicencio, director of the UPeU Campus Tarapoto; Dr. Jacqueline Castañeda Cárdenas, director of Hospital II Tarapoto; Mr. Ricardo Jarama Soto, president of the Smiles Without Borders Association; and Mr. Pedro Tapullima, president of Rotarios Tarapoto.
The equipment will be used for the treatment of people with cleft lip and palate problems.
So far, results have been shown in different sectors of the region.
In this regard, Dr. Roussel Dávila emphasized that the university is willing to continue supporting as long as necessary, since it fulfills its mission to help those who need it most.
