To celebrate 99 years of institutional life of the Adventist School of Titicaca and 20 years of the Peruvian Union University: Juliaca Campus, on September 23, a series of ceremonies were held with the participation of the authorities of the university.
The events of the central day began with the hoisting of the national flag and the institutional flags of UPeU and CAT, in the flag square of Juliaca campus, who presided over this act were the administrators; Dr. Gluder Quispe Huanca, Rector of UPeU, Dr. Luis Eddie Cotacallapa, General Director of UPeU Campus Juliaca and Mg. Marizol Chambi, Director of the Adventist School of Titicaca. Afterwards, the group of authorities and students who formed the professional schools’ escorts participated in the anniversary parade and greeting.
Then, they went to the Pedro Kalbermater Auditorium where the Solemn Session took place, in which, in addition to the speech of order of the president of the university, it was recognized the work of all UPeU and CAT collaborators.
During the president’s speech, Dr. Gluder Quispe recalled the history of the Titicaca Adventist School and the Peruvian Union University: Juliaca Campus: «This institution has started with many challenges, perhaps the pioneers did not have the resources and opportunities as we have today, but they put all their effort and hopes in God, so today we see a light in the Andes of Peru,» were his words. He also announced the upcoming projects that the institution has to continue providing a quality education.
