One of the competencies of the graduate of the Professional Career of Environmental Engineering of the Peruvian Union University is problem solving, being able to identify, analyze and implement alternative solutions to achieve the objectives while complying with the values and principles.

In this sense, scientific research contributes significantly to the achievement of this competence since environmental engineers investigate and know their environment.

For this reason, the I Workshop Course on formulation, elaboration and writing of scientific articles was held, where 36 graduates presented their thesis to obtain their professional degree.

The academic event was held virtually through the Zoom platform, on April 9, 12 and 13, with the participation of 30 theses and the exhibition of 16 theses in article format.

The participants’ family members and members of the jury table were present: President, Secretary, Advisor and members of the jury.

The research papers addressed various topics of interest related to environmental management, environmental pollution, dysergonomic risks, Covid and air quality.

The articles developed provide important contributions in the characterization, methodology and proposal for the improvement of environmental quality.

At the end of the presentations, the graduates were unanimously approved and received the congratulations of their Professors and relatives with the symbolic presentation of the distinctive medal of the UPeU.
