«I want you at home, Daddy» was the title of the awareness activity that the Peruvian Union University Tarapoto campus carried out in association with the Peruvian National Police and the San Martin Adventist School of Tarapoto.
The purpose was to encourage parents to «not let their guard down» when passing through two of the most important streets in the city of Tarapoto and the district of Morales.
The UPeU, in coordination with Colonel Max Miranda Delgado, head of the San Martin police region, together with 30 police officers, distributed face masks and face shields. In addition, they distributed copies of the Adventist magazine with important health care tips. The message «take care of yourself and your family» was also emphasized.
Henry Yupanqui, chaplain of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, who participated in the event with the students of the Professional School of Environmental Engineering, expressed, «it was very gratifying to take advantage of a few seconds of time to tell someone to take care of themselves and their family and to see their surprised faces when they also received the masks and magazines».
It is important to mention that San Martin Adventist School and the UPeU participated with a delegation of 15 people who worked together with the police force to carry out this activity.
This is how the Adventist and civil institutions work together with the UPeU in the activities of linking with the environment, thus making the university increasingly closer to the population and making known its message of comprehensive and principled education to achieve a gran finale.
