At the same time, it guarantees access to information in Open Access mode.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As an institution, it allows for greater visibility and prestige, as well as a permanent record of academic and research activity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In order to improve the quality of repositories, in 2020 the National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) approved the \u00abAlicia 2.0 Guide\u00bb, a technical document that defines the criteria for the implementation and assessment of institutional repositories and the registration of metadata.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In this sense, the UPeU Repository had a positive appraisal and in August 2021 obtained the status of approved by Concytec, thus complying with the adequacy of the new guidelines \u00abAlicia Guide 2.0\u00bb.
